Large Pastel
This was an expression of what I was feeling on the day I made this image and thoughts of what TODAY meant to me. The beginning was a challenge laid down by someone to produce 16 Artist Trading Cards, I was intrigued enough to take up the challenge but found that the actual concept illuded me. I discovered that though I can work small the subject of TODAY felt too large for the criteria laid down for ATC's. I have my workbooks which I doodle, make notes, draw sketches in, collect cuttings, litter and all manner of ephemera which gets placed on the pages to be further worked and transformed in to a larger piece either 2D or 3D, sometimes the piece that gets nearest to finished is a million miles away from the workbook or only a step so didn't find ATC's way to explore or practice new tchniques but see the size and series sense of ATC's as appealing. ATC's still have some draw for me but having now discovered the form and gone off on a tangent I am definitely going to use this particular set of criteria to play with but may never get to actually produce ATC's
